Speedometer Cable (Manual Transmission) | Mazda MX-5 Miata (1990-1997)

Your Mazda MX-5 Miata's speedometer helps to tell you your precise speed. But over time, your speedometer could become faulty, which could become a safety issue! The speedometer works through the speedometer cable which is powered by the drive shaft. The drive shaft turns a magnet which creates an electrical current to send the information to your MX-5's computer. It will then calculate your vehicle's speed and send this information straight back through the cable to display the speed on your speedometer.
